Whilst none of the parties have published their manifestos for December’s election yet, a London law firm has published a report saying that “For those buying a residential property to live in themselves, consider waiting until after the Election. For other buyers, consider completing pre-Election.”
An Estate Agent Today poll indicated that 76% of estate agents have found that buyers are indeed not going through with purchases in anticipation of a potential reduction in transaction costs should a Labour win result in no SDLT for some buyers.
