Mandatory Exams For Estate Agents Could Be Introduced In Next 2 Years

In a statement by Lord Richard Best, chair of the Regulation of Property Agents Working Group, plans to introduce mandatory qualifications for estate agents were revealed this week.

Lord Best said that all agents would have to be a “licensed agent” and a “member of a regulated body” and that the changes could come into effect in the next two years.

He said that good, experienced agents would have no problem passing the exam.
